The Picts were the indigenous inhabitants of Scotland before the migration of the Scots from Ireland. They were a major force in the development and execution of Celtic art, and erected numerous stone slabs decorated with their carving. Below are some of our night time photographs of a few of these stones for your enjoyment. The stones were photographed at night to allow us to illuminate the carving to best effect, and to experiment with coloured gels and light painting.

All photographs are copyright of John Hendry and Peter Drahony.
